as one third of the founding trio of revered cologne imprint magazine, jens-uwe beyer has become an obvious choice for any adept of open-minded electronic music, both through releases such as the one-track-one-hour manifesto red book (magazine 008), several contributions to our pop ambient compilation series or inspired remixes for barnt, dream weapons and others. besides this being the same mastermind as the one behind the ongoing popnoname brand, you wouldn t expect upcoming the emissary to actually be a debut, but it is, for it s the very first time that we re treated to a full-length offering under the artists real name.

following on from son.sine and sven weisemann on delsins deep and house leaning series of releases is artefakt with a new three track affair entitled the fifth planet ep.

nicole moudaber is a name we are used to hearing on the radar as a drumcode artist and she is showing us what she can do on the funkier side of the spectrum with her new ep now landing on truesoul. both tracks merge her signature techno sound into something that still contains stacks of class and character. the evolving sounds in both tracks build tension and energy to create after hour burners.

billy meier, the third record in the untold stories protagonist ep series, is by suokas, and includes a remix by alka rex. the works stem from the remote town of petrozavodsk in russia, where the artist suokas lives a life of diligent focus. the album is dedicated to billy meier whose extensive writings and transcriptions document his contact with extraterrestrial beings, largely from a civilisation called plejaren located a fraction of a second shifted from our own dimension. his works are devoted to widening consciousness and challenge what we conventionally accept as true. similarly inspired, suokas says my music is about things that cannot be proven by conventional methods.

kicking of 2015 in class, pathway traxx brings you this delicious (or should we say deelicious) dose of disco and raw house grooves. following our well honoured tradition, we have worked hard to unearth some fresh up and coming talent, and they definitely step up to the mark with this ep.

athens of the north presents two of the disco floaters from our previously unreleased aotnlp original friends and buddies, both of these versions are on 45 for the first time. the stripped down version of silence that you keep benefits from the more direct tight vocal. without the synths there is much more space in the mix which suits the melancholy deep disco groove so much better. on the flip po man has also been stripped right back to its more basic elements also for the better, less is so much more.

the second installment of uzuri’s “the wilderness sessions” delivers 3 tracks geared towards the refined dancers and listeners of the world. the idea here is slow burning broken beat tracks infused with the soul of jazz and funk. the ep opens with fox ‘n hound, a slightly menacing and equally sexy jam which ebbs and flows with a delightfully funky bass line and enough melodic accents to keep full attention. the secret here is in the details which are craft-fully manipulated by this talented duo. futonjam continues the trend of beautifully unfolding composition with its shuffled percussion and gracefully evolving melodies. a perfect track for home listening and for those deep sultry moments on the dance floor. the crown jewel of this release is certainly the near 9 minute odyssey that is zukunft/ silber. a track which entertains and pushes towards a sophisticated style which is undeniably unique in approach. using broken patterns as a back drop for beautifully orchestrated strings, micro flutes and longing horns it transforms from a sweet and delicate sound to something more demanding of our bodies movement. this release will be sure to mark the beginning of what we can expect from these two producers who clearly aim to set themselves apart from the crowd.

next up on titanic city, needs no introduction, nigel rogers aka perseus traxx has been a staple part on most record bags, a man dedicated to performance outside the box, has produced one of the greatest releases we will surely drop all year. some kind comments in our direction had to surly be returned with a request for a release and did he deliver. nigels first question was *what do you like* - *well we love your m>o>s, bunker, photic fields, snuff trax material*, he returned with a little bit of all. i am not gonna give the whole soaring pads, scraping percussive smears or the frenzied synth lines. this is perseus traxx he always delivers!! there is a rough and raw diy feel to this music that makes it jump out of the speakers and arrest your attention, as is always the case with titanic city.

rat life returns with the pagan rites on catalog number 4. little is known about the band from sweden, first signals were received in 2010 when they submitted their track 03 to the ifm demo contest. in october last year rat life sent out a submarine to search the swedish coast line for the small hut where the duo records their songs (apologies to the swedish authorities at this point, who confused our research with a russian military threat). all four tracks are packed with bittersweet melancholia, reflecting the neverending darkness of cold scandinavian winter, still the midnight sun is always in sight on the horizon! already recorded between 2008 - 2013, rat life records is very happy to finally make this music available on vinyl.

when acid meets the groove it results in this fruity cocktail of sounds freshly concocted in the studio of alexis cabrera in venice. with the collaboration of mattia bison: this young italian producer who, after long experimentation with synthesizers and drum machines, discovered the right ingredient that give shape to the two original tracks “give the hype” and houseloide for his debut 12” vinyl release. we are proud to welcome mauricio barembuem to our label, barem’s remix for give the hype ep is warm, loopy, hypnotic and so acid as our emblematic orange kumquat fruit! for your decks!

the 3rd outing from legwork comes from one of our label heads in lance desardi and singer/song writter jesse rennix. this ones been a long time in the making, but the final product is well worth the blood, sweat and tears. with a heavy nod to prescription records and the 1st & 2nd wave detriot pioneers, emotion is the order of the day. not much else to say, other than see for yourself. the heavens await

two slices of brilliant brazilian disco, painel de controle have a few bangers across their rca lps, these two being my favourites. *relax* is a straight up boogie monster, well known to deep disco & boogie heads flipped with *malandrinh* with its insanely catchy guitar. the original brazilian *relax* 7 inch plays at 33rpm (like many brazilian 45s), if you know you are cutting you will know this is not ideal. our new 7 inch is 45rpm and cut from a super crisp new master from the tapes at timmon cutting labs, sounds about 5x better than the o.g. ... simple choice.

the supremes, the most commercially successful girl group in pop history, were one of the jewels in motown records artist stable. given wonderful material by motown s amazing songwriters, the group scored numerous number one pop hits, as did singer diana ross when she left the group and went solo, and motowns bright, modern, and uptown image as a label had a lot to do with the way these ladies gracefully and elegantly presented themselves and took over a song. two dozen of those number one hits, both as the supremes and as ross solo, are collected here, including the timeless classics *come see about me*, *you cant hurry love*, *you keep me hangin on* and *stop! in the name of love*. the album also features a bonus remix of *you keep me hangin on*.

recorded from rudys homemade studio in hampton virginia before he cut *searching for love* on harvest records around 1983, he did this wonderful modern synth winner. with rudy just having one pass on a reel of this song, we remastered it a little at the super disco hq to give it a brighter feel. sure its pretty lo-fi but the quality of the song writing playing and melodies are more than enough to let is see the joys of a turntable. this is once again a limited press.

its been a long and lonely winter and it took ursl quite some time huntingdown its next new wild child - but at last, here he is, mr. krink and his fourdark, deep and minimal tracks all packed onto ursls forthcoming ep. andthat shall not be all - our dear friend and fellow music addict david dorad will release his first rmx on ursl shortly thereafter. no worries though, this will not be the end of the (ursl) story .. so, watch out and keep your eyes open!

the nuclear family return with the follow-up to the summer’s after effects ep - another four tracks of deeper electronics for discerning djs and dancers. the title cut is a throwback to the days when we made music in our bedrooms with whatever cheap-ass drum machines and synths we could lay our hands on, and we have invited one of our favourite artists, atlantas moon b, to lend his magic touch to a remix on the flip, we drift into dubbier climes before dropping the tempo to close things out on a spaced-out electro tip.
